There’s sort of three pieces to the puzzle. There’s Rocksteady, there’s Warner Bros. and then there’s DC Comics. The great news for everyone is that there’s a lot of energy and a lot of passion from all of those three groups about Arkham, and the creative decisions that we’re all collectively making. So it’s not a question of us coming up with stupid ideas and then trying to get them approved, we have pretty much developed a sixth sense for the stuff that is right for us and right for Batman as an iconic brand.

Having more than one game on the go at the same time does have one hidden advantage, though, and this is I never get bored working on the same thing day after day. In fact, the break I take to work on something different actual helps to avoid stagnation and helps me to see where problems are. It’s like taking a step back, taking a break and seeing the whole picture rather than fixating upon the small area you are working in.

There’s a couple of things that this guys said that we have to put attention. Greg Russel, Re-recording Mix in Salt, said “I always look to see, what can I clean out? what can I pull away from this?… If there a BG’s city sound and we are really not hear them, I’m gonna take that staff out. Where that music goes away I’ll feather those BG’s back in and so on. I try to maintained cleanses, clearer and definition all the time”. And a guy from “Unstoppable” said somethings that make me a lot of sense, because I always wondered, why this guy record so many sound for each movie? They has a thousands of sounds in his libraries, why they doesn’t use it?, well here is the answer: “…But director don’t use stock footage to go out and shot their films so, why they want we use stock libraries sound? A sound mixer it’s very much like a chef and we are only as good as the ingredients”
When equalizing during mixing try to reduce unwanted frequencies more than you boost desired frequencies. This will result in “clarity” with less “falseness” to the sound.
Never, while recording or mixing, boost more than 6 dB with the equalizer, period for the first 50 mixes you do.
